Same-day delivery at 800+ stores

The scope

Bring Same Day Delivery to AEO.com through DoorDash, with a launch spanning more than 800 stores. The customer-facing delivery option was one part of a program that reached from checkout to store operations and support.

The coordination challenge

The launch involved more than 30 technical teams. Delivering it required business, engineering and operations to work toward the same launch, alongside the development, QE, performance and support teams I led.

What I led

I led the 50+ person team that launched Same Day Delivery, working with the technical teams involved across the customer and store experience.

Across my American Eagle portfolio, I owned roadmaps, planning, prioritization and functional specifications, and took initiatives from ideation through pilots, prototypes and operationalization with developers, architects, QA, data analysts and product managers.

What shipped

Same Day Delivery on AEO.com with DoorDash, launched to more than 800 stores. It brought a new delivery option to American Eagle’s own ecommerce experience.
